Thinking ‘Bout Her (available September 21st) is the first 7” release from What’s Eating Gilbert, the brainchild of Chad Gilbert from New Found Glory. What’s Eating Gilbert is a project created by Chad to release songs he has been writing over the past few years. Originally intended to be an online-giveaway project, the response was so strong that we decided to release these songs.
These songs are classic Buddy Holly/Roy Orbison 50’s pop meets pop-punk with melodies that are infectious and lyrics that are starkly open and personal. The unique mix of influences create something that sounds fresh in the current world of music. Pre-order bundles are now available at the Epitaph Store and they’re going to go fast, so make sure to grab yours today.

With all this hype of Antoine Dodson around the internet, a couple friends of mine and I thought it would be fun to do our own version of “Bed Intruder.” Everything was recorded at my home studio while New Found Glory had a day off from tour here in Nashville. Hayley came over this evening to add the finishing touches. I hope you all enjoy it as much as we do. Thanks to Hayley Williams and Jordan Pundik for making this happen with me. It was so much fun! Maybe The Gregory Brothers, who originally did this, will get to hear our version! Or better yet, Antoine Dodson himself! Click below and enjoy!!

Beloved melodic punk outfit New Found Glory have announced they will joining the heralded Honda Civic Tour along with power pop heavyweights Paramore and indie twin duo Tegan and Sara. Last year’s hard hitting fan favorite Not Without A Fight found the popular band in peak form with an album overflowing with sing along guitar charged anthems of humor, heartache and determination.
Audiences have been raving about the band’s recent seen-to-be-believed live performances, with the Accent Advocate proclaiming: “Crowd surfing, mosh pits, screams and great bands — these are the ingredients needed for a successful rock concert. New Found Glory’s 10-year anniversary tour exhibited all four” while The Palm Beach Post said a recent sold out performance “solidified NFG as punk-rock royalty that has no intention of slowing down.”

Dearest NFG Family, Friends, and Fans…
Two weeks ago when I went to the Doctor with pneumonia.. they found some nodules in my thyroid , and one of them is a little bigger then a quarter. They did a biopsy and the report came back that there are some suspicious cells in the cyst. So due to the size and to be safe, Today at 2:45 I am having surgery and getting half of my thyroid removed. Immediately after removing it they will observe it and see if it looks like a cancer. If they find anything they will remove the rest of my thyroid. The odds are in my favor for it to be nothing which keeps me positive going in… I am only planning on missing the first three shows of this tour, and my good friend Anthony Raneri from the band BAYSIDE will be filling in for me until i make it back out. Thanks again for all the love and support and I hope to see you all super soon.
Love Always,
Chad Gilbert aka :@xchadballx,Captain Straight Edge, chad hulud etc.
