Dearest NFG Family, Friends, and Fans…
Two weeks ago when I went to the Doctor with pneumonia.. they found some nodules in my thyroid , and one of them is a little bigger then a quarter. They did a biopsy and the report came back that there are some suspicious cells in the cyst. So due to the size and to be safe, Today at 2:45 I am having surgery and getting half of my thyroid removed. Immediately after removing it they will observe it and see if it looks like a cancer. If they find anything they will remove the rest of my thyroid. The odds are in my favor for it to be nothing which keeps me positive going in… I am only planning on missing the first three shows of this tour, and my good friend Anthony Raneri from the band BAYSIDE will be filling in for me until i make it back out. Thanks again for all the love and support and I hope to see you all super soon.

Buffalo’s snarling rockers Every Time I Die have announced plans for a headlining US tour sponsored by ESP Guitars and Van’s beginning in March with Four Year Strong, Polar Bear Club and Trapped Under Ice providing support. Ticket pre-sales start January 27 through Artist Arena and public on-sales begin January 29 and 30 depending on the market.
Hayley Williams from Paramore was asked by MTV to pick her favorite bands for 2010 and she chose Set Your Goals as one of them. Here is what she had to say:
Set Your Goals — “My old roomie Hannah had this hoodie that she sponge-stamped the words ‘SET YOUR GOALS’ onto and wore just about every day in high school. It wasn’t until I was on the Warped Tour a couple years later that I ran up to these dudes and introduced myself. By this point, we’ve toured the country together, explored haunted venues, had some Buffalo Wild Wings and hung out in Hamburg, Germany, of all places. Their new album, This Will Be the Death of Us, is out now and slays me. I got to sing on one of the tracks, ‘The Few That Remain,’ too. I’m pretty lucky.”
